Coach Steve has been a dedicated practitioner of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu since 2014 and currently holds the rank of purple belt. With a strong competitive background, Steve is a veteran of the prestigious Man of War Super Fights, where he has tested his skills across multiple weight classes, including light heavyweight, heavyweight, and super heavyweight divisions. His competitive achievements include victories in well-known tournaments such as NAGA (North American Grappling Association), Good Fight, and Grappling Industries, establishing him as a formidable presence on the mat.
In addition to his jiu-jitsu accomplishments, Coach Steve has also stepped into the world of mixed martial arts (MMA), where he has competed in several bouts, holding a record of 2-2-1. His experience in MMA adds a unique dimension to his coaching, allowing him to bring a diverse set of skills and strategies to his students.
Before diving into the world of jiu-jitsu, Steve was a standout Division 1 athlete, playing rugby for Temple University. His athletic background in rugby has provided him with a unique perspective on strength, endurance, and teamwork, which he seamlessly integrates into his jiu-jitsu coaching.
